Play is to the child what talking is to the adult.
It's a way to express feelings, build confidence, explore relationships, describe experiences, disclose wishes, and build self esteem.
Play Therapy is a method of therapeutic treatment often used for children between the ages of 2-12. The child's session time is spent in a playroom which includes
a variety of toys which function as the the child's "words." Children use these toys
to express themselves and to work on their issues through play, their "language."
Most children love to come to the playroom where they can develop a trusting relationship with the therapist while they do what they do best - play!
